I've been making a cyberpunk themed jacket over the past few months.
It's a denim jacket that I bought at the store, and I'm patching up.
All the patches are made from cut up old jeans, and painted with cheap acrylic.
Then they've been sewed on using recycled thread that would have been thrown away. Not going to tell you were it came from though because I like to be mean on occasion.
The patches I have so far are:
1. 'Phenomenal'
Because I am called 'Phenomenal Phoenix' on Discord. Also because I watched the superman movie when it was out in cinemas and I really liked Mr Terrific a lot.
2. Songbird's call icon from Cyberpunk2077:PhantomLiberty.
My favourite character from the franchise so far. I love her character and her story. I took her icon from when she calls you at the beginning of the DLC and turned it grey scale for this.
3. Edgerunners Patch
Because Edgerunners is my favourite anime of all time. Also white to keep in with the theme.
4. Relic Patch
I needed something to fill the space left next to the edgerunners patch, continuing with 2077, I went for something recognisable from the base game.
5. Ghost In The Shell
Woah. It's another patch from Cyberpunk2077. This is actually a tattoo that one of the characters (Judy) has. Maybe I'll get it tattooed on myself someday - I like it that much.
This is pretty obviously a reference to another cyberpunk franchise, one that's hugely influential and impressive: Ghost In The Shell. I have the manga in my collection, but not a BluRay or DVD because I missed the 30th Anniversary collectors edition :(
Once I get my homelab working, I'll make sure to have all the GitS movies and shows available for myself to stream at anytime.
6. The Eye Of Entrati
This one breaks away from the cyberpunk theme a bit. This is actually an icon from probably my second favourite game of all time: Warframe. This icon is used by the game's 'KIM' system once you've completed the final quest (so far). (It lets you romance some characters ;) and they're all *really* hot)
7. Nokko.
Also from Warframe, this is definitely more cyberpunk than the last. The name Nokko comes from 'no co' short for 'no corporations/corporate'. This little mushroom fella might not look like that much, but he is incredibly proficient in industrial sabotage.
8. Akira.
An Akira themed patch. Made by tracing a movie poster. This also has it's own reference in Cyberpunk2077, as one of the options in the tech skill tree.
9. The Laughing Man
This is from Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex S1. It's used by one of the worlds best Hackers. I can't say much else about him without spoiling the plot of the show.
