Being in my room is nice and all, I've got it just the way I like it.
It's warm, and it's cozy, but I have to leave every now and then to keep it that way. Those baked goods aren't going to get here themselves, are they?
So, I get up, and I go outside.
Bam. I get hit by the rays of the sun.
Warmth embraces my skin, a cool breeze flows though my hair, and I think to myself: "Damn, this is nice. I can't believe I was sat behind a screen for 3 hours before this".
I get to hear the birds sing, and see clouds in the sky with infinitely more resolution than any screen, or from behind a dirty window.
To be honest, I've been putting off writing this for so long that I'm starting to change my mind on this whole thing because I hate what the weather is going to be like for the next few months, so just bare that in mind.
It's not just at mid-day that going outside is nice. It's those hot summer nights where you're at a party - someones birthday most likely - and it gets to be a bit much.
So you step away and go outside. It's nice and it's cool. There isn't a heatwave currently. The sweat you didn't realise was there is now a comforting embrace. You exhale hot air, and inhale cool air. You're vaguely aware of the sounds of bugs, but what interests them most is the porch light, and for the most part they leave you alone.
But the moment is fleeting. You know you need to go back inside soon. It'll be your turn of monopoly.
I love this feeling. So much. I love being alive.
So far we've discussed daytime and evening time.
And by discussed I mean I've flexed my creative writing skills based off of lived experience, not very impressive but whatever.
Now to talk about early morning.
In this situation, breakfast has already been consumed. It was good. Something with blueberries, or raspberries perhaps.
Unfortunately, there are responsibilities that all of us have to take care of. Laundry for example. You gather up all the clothes that were washed yesterday evening, and you step out to hang them to dry. This time the atmosphere goes from warm and cosy, maybe you had coffee and were watching something over your meal, to a sharp painful sting. It wakes you up again like a splash of chilled water. But despite this, it's still nice to be outside. The birds are tweeting, droplets of dew are on the leaves of your garden and life feels fresh and new, even though this is what every morning has been like for your entire life. It imbues you with energy that inspires you to try your best today.
